The Serra da Mantiqueira is the heart of Brazilian olive growing. High altitude, cold nights and sunny days create a temperature range that makes olives ripen slowly, concentrating aromas, flavor and natural antioxidants.
Not by chance, the olive oils produced in this region of Minas Gerais are among the most awarded in Brazil in international competitions. It is in this terroir that we grow the olive trees of Sítio Quatro Bandeiras, in Bom Jardim de Minas, at about 1,100 m of altitude — on a small scale, harvested at the right moment and cold-extracted.
Fresh olive oil, harvested and extracted close to your table, without crossing an ocean: that is the advantage of high-altitude Brazilian olive oil, and that is what Quatro Bandeiras will deliver from its first harvest, in March 2028.

At Sítio Quatro Bandeiras, in Bom Jardim de Minas, in the Serra da Mantiqueira, Minas Gerais — a region at about 1,100 m of altitude, home to Brazil's most awarded olive oils.
The combination of altitude, cold nights and sunny days makes the olive trees ripen slowly, concentrating aromas and phenolic compounds. This terroir has placed Mantiqueira olive oils among the most awarded in Brazil.
Extra virgin is the highest grade of olive oil: extracted only by mechanical cold processes, with no chemical refining and acidity of at most 0.8%. At Quatro Bandeiras the target is acidity below 0.5% — the lower, the fresher. This preserves the olive's natural flavor, aroma and antioxidants.
